As you can see from the image above, it may not look like anything special from the side of the road however to say Sofie’s Hostel is not special would be a lie. My amazing stay as Sofie’s started with about a 25 minute uphill hike from the bus station in the rain. By the time I got there I was wet, cold and tired as I had been fighting off a cold for a few days.

What was there for me when I walked through the door was exactly what I needed. It was a modern, clean, open layout, the staff was friendly and quick to serve. I got to my Room dropped my things and headed right to a warm shower, and oh my goodness, the bathroom. Bright, clean, and huge.

If you have stayed in a hostel you will now most of them are large communal bathrooms with stalls of showers, or maybe a small room that features a shower, and there is nothing wrong with that what so ever. But if you want to be spoiled go to Sofie’s, a large room with toilet, sink, HEATED TOWEL RACK, and large walk in shower with a rain shower head. Amazing. The theme of clean and open concept also bleeds into the common area and the rooms.

Other than the fact you have a bit of a hike from the bus station you are in a good distance from all the major sites while you’re in Prague, the staff as I mentioned was friendly however not super interactive with guests as I’ve experienced in other places. Overall, Sofie’s Hostel is a must stay.
